Home improvement chain Lowe's has decided to pull ads from a TLC show called 'All-American Muslim.' The reality show focuses on real families tackling everyday problems in suburban Detroit.
Lowe's pulled its ads after a Christian group complained that the show promoted an Islamic agenda. Lowe's released a statement over the weekend explaining its decision.
The statement reads, in part: "Individuals and groups have strong political and societal views on this topic, and this program became a lightning rod for many of those views. As a result, we did pull our advertising on this program."
News 12 New Jersey spoke with members of the Muslim community in New Jersey, who are upset about the retailers decision and staged a protest at the Lowe's on McClean Boulevard in Paterson.
