Lost dog boards NJ Transit train, rides from South Orange to Hoboken

Police are looking for the dog’s owner to help get the pup home.

A dog without an owner boarded a NJ Transit train during Thursday morning’s commute.
NJ Transit police posted photos of the pup on social media and said they are looking for the dog’s owner to help get him home. They say the dog boarded the train at Mountain Station in South Orange around 7:52 a.m.

Officials say the dog, who does not have a microchip, was following an unrelated commuter and rode to Hoboken Terminal. Animal control took the dog to the Liberty Humane Society in Jersey City, according to NJ Transit.
