A teenager from Long Island is facing manslaughter and assault charges in connection to a stabbing last week in Manhattan.
The NYPD says officers responded to a 911 call for a male stabbed at 96 Lafayette Street. There, they found a 17-year-old and a 19-year-old, both males, with stab wounds to the torso.
The 17-year-old, later identified as Rocco Rodden, of Warren, New Jersey, was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead. The 19-year-old is in stable condition.
Gianluca Bordone, 19, of Oyster Bay, has been arrested.
It was not immediately clear what led up to the violence.
Bordone pleaded not guilty the charges against him. Bail was set at $4 million or $12 million bond. His next court date is Wednesday, Nov. 29.
Saint Joseph Regional High School posted a tribute to Rodden on social media.
