(12/19/06) HAINESVILLE ? Three escaped inmates fought the law, but the law won Tuesday when police captured the trio in Hainesville.
Police say the three men left a minimum-security work detail at a satellite portion of the Mountainview Youth Correction Facility in Montague. One man, 21-year-old Gregory Luca, was caught outside a Hainesville deli around 7:30 a.m. The two others, 22-year-old Joshua Adamo and 24-year-old Steven McCabe, were captured just across the street on someone?s property.
Sources tell News 12 New Jersey the three men only had days left on their sentences, making the suspected escape attempt very bizarre. Each of the inmates now faces an additional three to five years on their prison terms. They will also not be returning to the minimum security facility.
