A Little League baseball player is facing a big-time controversy for the way he celebrated a home run.

Video obtained by News 12 shows 12-year-old Marco Rocco, of Haddonfield, hitting a home run during a game last week.

That home run won the game and put Haddonfield in the state tournament. But Rocco was ejected from the game and suspended from playing Thursday’s game because he flipped his bat in the air after the home run.

This is not allowed in Little League. The umpire cited a “safety concern” as the reason for ejecting Rocco from the game.

Haddonfield is now going to court to fight the decision. The team is hoping for an emergency temporary restraining order in a Gloucester County courtroom Thursday ahead of the game.
