The “Little Heroes Prom” was held in New Brunswick Friday night.
The event brought pediatric cancer patients from all over the state to a special event. The theme this year was “Under the Big Top.” It was a chance for kids who have faced many challenges to just be a kid for a while.
"It really is a night to just offer these families a little respite from their day-to-day treatment journey,” said Jana Boyer, of Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, New Jersey Region. "Give them the opportunity to just celebrate and have some fun and really get away from being on this cancer journey for just a little while."
