? Several streets in Linden are evacuated after a tanker carrying gasoline overturned Sunday.
Investigators say the driver of the vehicle may have tried to turn too fast on Southward Avenue around 4 p.m. Witnesses say they heard a loud boom and saw gasoline spewing from the wreckage. Firefighters immediately started evacuating residents within a four-block radius of the spill and started cleaning up the mess.
Officials say the tanker contains about 8,500 gallons of gasoline, which they will try to empty before turning the vehicle upright.
