Fifteen people were injured, three critically, when a light-rail train collided with a New Jersey Transit bus in Hudson County during rush hour Friday.
The incident occurred at the light-rail crossing on 19th Street and Harbor Boulevard in Weehawken. According to a spokesperson for New Jersey Transit, the operators of both vehicles were among those injured. Light-rail service on the line was suspended between Ninth Street in Hoboken and Port Imperial in Weehawken. Alternate bus service was available for commuters.
The bus was heading to Paterson from New York when the incident occurred. New Jersey Transit is investigating the cause of the accident.
