A lengthy police standoff in Millville has come to a peaceful conclusion.
The standoff began Monday around 5:30 p.m. when police were called to a home to help emergency responders dealing with a distraught man.
The man, Andrew Wildermuth, 32, allegedly threatened to shoot anyone who tried to make contact with him before he barricaded himself inside the residence.
Several nearby homes were evacuated as authorities tried to negotiate with Wildermuth for several hours.
According to officials, he remained uncooperative.
The 14-hour standoff ended Tuesday shortly before 8 a.m. when a state police team entered the home and took Wildermuth into custody without incident.
