Lebanese family in North Brunswick fears Israeli attacks
One Lebanese family in North Brunswick fears for family and friends in danger of attacks taking place in Lebanon and Israel.John Soueid and his family are keeping a close eye on developments in Lebanon through a Lebanese TV station in New Jersey. The U.S. Ambassador has stated that 320 Americans will evacuate Lebanon by Tuesday and another 1,000 by Wednesday. But Israel's Prime Minister Ehud Olmert demands for the return of two captured soldiers and a guarantee that Israelis are safe from Hezbollah attacks before any fighting shall cease against Lebanon.Soueid?s brother and sister have families in Beirut and just heard that an Israeli air strike hit one block way from his brother?s home. Fortunately, some Americans with urgent medical problems and those with humanitarian reasons are being airlifted by helicopter to further ensure their safety.
