The Union County Prosecutor's Office hosted the largest job fair in the state for law enforcement jobs on Wednesday afternoon at Kean University.

Over 130 agencies were all searching for their next class of the best and the brightest.

"If just one person is hired by each one of these agencies, we're looking at 131 young men and women getting hired this year alone," said Harvey Barnwell, chief of the Union County Prosecutor's Office.

The fair was open to Kean students, but all interested applicants were welcome too.

"I'm graduating this May. I've got to get a job somewhere," Kean University senior Declan Fowler told News 12. "Every prosecutor's office, I dropped off my resume, every one that was here, intelligence work or law enforcement, either one."

Opportunities beyond New Jersey were also well within reach at the career fair.

Recruiters from six other states and multiple federal agencies were taking resumes.

"We have paralegal specialist positions being offered here. We have clerical positions being offered. We have our forensic lab here offering positions in the area of forensic lab analysis," said Union County Prosecutor William Daniel. "There are many, many different areas in the criminal justice system open to employment."
