In East Orange a massive, old tree was uprooted and crashed right in the middle of two homes. Officials say it is a danger that comes with all the rain and saturated ground the state has seen.
One home has noticeable damage to the ceiling on the third floor. The limbs extend onto the back deck.
"We didn't hear anything, but we have a lot of trees on this street. And I live down the street," said Tyisha Fortune of East Orange. "A limb fell about a couple days ago, right in front of our house. My husband heard it crack and it fell smack in the middle of the street."

Now the community comes together once more.
"We've been together when there's storms happening unfortunately about four blocks away from here, about a month ago or so there was a gentlemen so lost his life and we are still surrounding that community and embracing them as well, said Senator Britnee Timberlake."
East Orange officials say they are monitoring the weather.
"We just think about what we need to do under situations that we bring relief and make sure we are there when these things happen," said East Orange Mayor Ted Green.
"It's really about doing the investigation to make sure we're on target with the way these things are happening and then finding the solution and all the resources that we have," said City Council Member 5th Ward, Naiima Fauntleroy.
