The Lakewood BlueClaws baseball team and Robert Wood Johnson-Barnabas Health have teamed up to help bring baseball to Hurricane Maria-ravaged Puerto Rico.
The team held an equipment drive during the season to collect bats, gloves and other baseball equipment.
The donations were brought to the island and distributed to young athletes in one community.
The children had been playing with imaginary baseballs ever since the storm destroyed most of the island.
