A married couple who was found dead inside their home in Keyport last week died in an apparent murder-suicide, according to Monmouth County prosecutors.
Police found Ekaterina Kalyapina, 37, and her husband Ilya Gagin, 39, dead Tuesday morning during a wellness check at the home on Chingarora Avenue, officials say. An autopsy by the Middlesex County Medical Examiner's Office determined the wife was murdered and the husband committed suicide.
Prosecutors say two small dogs were also found, unharmed, in the home on Chingarora Avenue.
