(AP) - Lawyers in the U.S. and Brazil are preparing to respond to the latest court order in an internationalcustody case.
A Brazilian judge this week said David Goldman should havecustody of his son, Sean, for six days a week in Brazil. Thearrangement would last until a ruling on the boy's permanentcustody.
The Tinton Falls man has been trying to bring his 9-year-old sonback to the U.S.
His wife took the boy to Brazil on vacation five years ago,decided to stay, married another man and died giving birth to adaughter last year. The boy has been in the custody of his mother'snew husband.
The Brazilian family's lawyer says an appeal will be filed.
Goldman's New Jersey lawyer says he will not go to Brazil untilhe is confident the arrangement won't be scuttled.
