Funeral services held for Wall Township woman killed in Nashville

Family and friends of Jillian Ludwig, 18, paid their final respects during a Mass of Christian burial at St. Marks Church in Sea Girt.

Funeral services were held Friday for Jillian Ludwig, the18-year-old Wall Township woman who was struck and killed by a stray bullet last week while walking at a park near her campus in Nashville, Tennessee.
Family and friends of Ludwig paid their final respects during a Mass of Christian burial at St. Marks Church in Sea Girt. Ludwig was known for giving back to her community, as well as her love of music. Visitation services were held Thursday night at Orender Funeral Home in Manasquan.
The suspect, Shaquille Taylor, 29, remains in jail and faces charges of aggravated assault and evidence tampering.
Nashville police say Taylor admitted during an interview with detectives at police headquarters that he fired the shots. He claimed to have given the gun involved to another person.
Ludwig will be laid to rest at Atlantic View Cemetery in Manasquan.
