Jersey Proud: South Plainfield students collect shoes for those in need

The students collected 229 pairs of shoes in all for the organization Soles 4 Souls.

The kids at Kennedy Elementary School in South Plainfield really stepped up their efforts to make New Jersey proud.
The students collected dozens of pairs of shoes for other children in crisis.
The effort was organized by Principal Kevin Hajduk for the organization Soles 4 Soles. The nonprofit collects shoes for those coping with natural disasters.
The CEO of Soles 4 Souls even sent a letter to the school thanking them for the donations.
The students collected 229 pairs of shoes in all.
