A holiday tradition has returned to Rockaway Borough.
The town has been hanging a “Seasons Greetings” sign over the Rockaway River since the 1970s.
But the practice was stopped a few years ago because it wasn’t safe for firefighters to go into the river and hand the letters.
This year the sign was put up using a line and pulley system – an idea by local contractor Angelo Natale.
The sign is now back!
