At Beeler Elementary School in Evesham, the incentive for reading comes in the form of slime.

The school raised nearly $36,000 during this year's Read-A-Thon fundraiser, with students logging reading minutes and collecting pledges to support their school. As a reward for reaching fundraising goals, students got the chance to see some familiar faces get covered in slime.

Among the most anticipated targets was School Resource Officer David Trivers. Year after year, Trivers is one of the students' favorite staff members to nominate.

While the slime may have been the main attraction, the event also highlighted the power of reading. Thanks to the enthusiasm of students, families, and staff, the Read-A-Thon was a major success, raising thousands of dollars to support school programs and activities.
