The Ramapo College women's volleyball team will play in the NCAA tournament this week. Just three months ago, nobody saw that coming.
Ramapo held off Stockton for the championship. The team was very much in flux three months ago, with a new coach and new players. It all meshed perfectly.
The team was 10-10 last year. This year, they are 25-1 and are conference champions for the first time.
"It was really emotional and a big accomplishment in my life. I'm so happy I can share this with my team,” says senior Kalme Moncavo.
“It feels good to have your players buy in and work hard towards that goal. It's an amazing feeling when you're able to accomplish it,” says Coach Fernando Colon.
The team will play Thursday against Christopher Newport.
