It was Oct. 22, 1746, when a group of Presbyterians got together to start a college in Elizabeth – The College of New Jersey was born. A year later the college moved to Newark, and nine years later another movie.
It wasn’t until 1896 that The College of New Jersey was renamed Princeton University.
Members of the Princeton marching band played “Happy Birthday” to commemorate the anniversary of the school’s founding.
