Activist groups around New Jersey are planting blue pinwheels in gardens during Child Abuse Prevention Month.
The Suburban Womans Club of Pompton Plains planted pinwheels in Pequannock's library garden. Nurses at Cooper University Hospital in Camden placed pinwheels throughout the hospital's garden.
The nurses wrote on Facebook that each pinwheel represents a commitment to creating a "brighter, safer future for every child."
