Jersey Proud: Nonprofit helps get 36,000 free books to New Jersey schools

Thousands of books were given out to schools across New Jersey thanks to the efforts of a nonprofit. 
The group First Book worked with other organizations to donate 36,000 free books to K-12 students. 
About 200 teachers were on hand at the North American Headquarters Of Jaguar-Land Rover in Mahwah to distribute the books. 
Employees from Edison-based Tata Consultancy Services were among the volunteers who also offered STEM resources for educators.
