Jersey Proud: Newark officers gift new wheelchair to resident in need

Newark police officers surprised a hotel resident who had been relying on a broken wheelchair with a brand-new one.

A Newark resident has a new wheelchair, thanks to some of Newark’s finest.
Fifth Precinct Commander Capt. Wyhidi Wilson, alongside Community Service Officers Geoffrey Tanner and Jorge Miranda, surprised an unnamed resident of the Rivera Hotel who had been using a broken wheelchair to get around.
The officers gifted the resident a new wheelchair on Tuesday.
