WMCX – Monmouth University’s radio station – is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
The station held a celebration at the Plangere Center on campus.
Hundreds of students have spent time working the audio board or deejaying at the station through the decades. It's not only been an extracurricular activity, but it's helped launch careers in radio.
The station – which broadcasts on 88.9 FM – plays alternative rock.
