Michael Zuercher encouraged his neighbors to leave food by their driveway or front door.
On Tuesday, which he deemed Donation Delivery Day, he and his brother drove around town to pick up the goods.
The final tally was 1,024 pounds of food for the Lincoln Park food pantry.
