Schools in Brick Township celebrated St. Patrick's Day in a unique way.
In addition to kids wearing green apparel, retired police Detective Tim McCarthy visited the schools dressed as a leprechaun - as he does every year.
He did not just wear a leprechaun outfit, but he also brought a pot of gold as well while visiting Brick's preschool and elementary schools.
