Anyone who has lived in Toms River has probably seen Joe Placente. For more than 20 years, Placente has been known to dress up in stars and stripes and carry around an American flag.
Placente is a Korean War veteran. News 12 last saw him this fall at the Seaside Semper Five charity race.
Ninety-three years old and going strong. Happy Birthday!
