The ShopRite of Metro Plaza in Jersey City unveiled new Cheerios boxes Thursday that feature photos of four store employees who raised the most money in ShopRite's annual drive to prevent hunger.
The store raised $25,000.
Gregory Selph, of Newark, was one of those honored.
"My mom died like 13 years ago. I know she's looking over me and I know she'd be proud of me for this moment," Selph said.
"We're a supermarket right? So how can we not look to feed people who need some assistance?" said store manager Peter Cavo.
ShopRite raised over $1 million at all their stores to end hunger this year.
As for Selph, he is now a celebrity at his church in Newark. He said he has signed about 30 boxes.
