The Hillsborough High School hockey team scored big time last weekend in their showing of support for a 13-year-old boy fighting cancer.
Hillsborough wore special jerseys for their game with Morris Knolls to honor Hockey Fights Cancer night and to rally for Charlie Shomers. Shomers, a Hillsborough resident, is overcoming brain cancer.
Former Devils star Bruce Driver was in attendance as Shomers dropped the puck.
Shomers was also honored at a Devils game last November posing with Jack Hughes.
A GoFundMe for Shomers medical expenses is nearing $30,000.
