An Eatontown native is taking the chess world by storm with his latest accomplishment.
Abhimanyu Mishra, 14, was the winner of the US Junior Chess Championship two weeks ago. The victory qualified him for the U.S. Championship in October.
Mishra has been playing chess since he was a toddler, and two years ago he became the youngest grandmaster in history.
Mirsha has been playing this summer with the St. Louis Chess Club, which is considered the mecca of American chess.
