The Archdiocese of Newark’s Mercy House is making New Jersey proud.
Staff and volunteers made spirits bright by handing out more than 3,000 gifts to more than 800 families in need during its largest-ever toy giveaway. The event took place in Newark, Elizabeth and Jersey City.
This year’s giveaway was made possible by donations from numerous parishes, schools, organizations and individual donors.
The Mercy House provides food, clothing, baby supplies, housing and other help for anyone in need. They serve about 300 people every week.
