Students from Midstreams Elementary School in Brick Township are showing off their appreciation for first responders in town.

They sent over heart-shaped American flags as thank-you messages for the Laurelton Fire Department.

Chief Paul Mazzero says he is very appreciative of the gesture and has decided to proudly display the children’s work at the station.
