A well-known sports journalist from New Jersey has died.

Ed Lucas became blind at the age of 12 when he was struck by a baseball and lost his sight.

Despite this, he went on to become an iconic baseball writer for the Jersey Journal and the New York Yankees.

Lucas interviewed many of the greats.
