Bayside Chapel in Barnegat hosted a night for special needs teenagers to enjoy their own prom experience.

The “Night to Shine” event was made possible through the help of donations and volunteers.

Bayside Chapel hosts its “Wonderfully Made” meetings every week on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. to offer people with special needs a “welcoming environment” for “playing games, coloring, doing karaoke, and more,” according to the Chapel’s website.

Nearly 700 churches around the world and 13 in New Jersey hosted similar events Friday night.
