Tuesday was Election Day in New Jersey. Voter turnout is typically low on nonpresidential years. But that is not the fault of Teaneck’s Bea Podorefsky.
The 96-year-old has made it her mission to make sure seniors get out and vote. It’s called “Platinum Power at the Polls.” Podorefsky was named one of Bergen County’s “Women of the Century” due to her efforts and commitment to the community.
Podorefsky says she has voted in every election since 1948.
