Two women from New Jersey are among 12 military women chosen for an art project to honor women’s contributions to the Armed Forces.
Montclair's Bernice Haydu is a World War II veteran who was part of the women’s Air Service Pilot Program. She died this year at age 100.
Coast Guard Lt. Commander Angel Hughes grew up in East Orange. She is also being honored.
