Voters in Jersey City are gearing up to choose a new mayor on Tuesday.
Jerramiah Healy, the incumbent mayor of New Jersey's second-largest city, is being challenged by four candidates: Louis Manzo, a former state assemblyman making his sixth attempt to take over at the Grove Street City Hall; Assemblyman L. Harvey Smith; Daniel B. Levin, a local businessman; and Phillip G. Webb, a police detective.
Healy has been mayor since winning a special election in 2004 to serve out the remaining term of Glenn Cunningham, who died of a heart attack.
