Investigators probe death of infant found unresponsive at Newark YMCA

The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the death of an infant boy found unresponsive at the YMCA on Broad Street in Newark.
First responders were called to the YMCA Wednesday morning for an unresponsive 2-month-old boy. The baby was taken to University Hospital and was pronounced dead just before 8:30 a.m.
The cause and manner of the death are pending autopsy results.
