Hudson County investigators have arrested a driver they say is responsible for a fatal hit-and-run in Bayonne.

Hudson County investigators have arrested a driver they say is responsible for a fatal hit-and-run in Bayonne.

The incident happened Thursday at around 10 p.m. on Avenue C.

Investigators say John Hagans, 50, was crossing the street when James Nichols hit him and kept going.

Hagan was then hit again by a New Jersey Transit bus.

He died at the scene.

Nichols is charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident.
