A man posing as a taxi-driver took a mother and her young children on a wild ride in Jersey City, according to police.
Jersey City police say Rynaldo Barrios offered to give the woman and her 6-year-old daughter and 3-year-old son a ride home for a fee at Shop Rite. When they got to Cambridge Avenue, Barrios allegedly hit a parked car and kept going.
Police tried to stop the car, but they say that Barrios locked the doors and took off with the woman and the children still inside.
Barrios allegedly crashed into a police cruiser and was arrested. He is charged with eluding police and reckless driving.
Jersey City police say that the mother and her two children were shaken up, but not hurt.
