Today is the first day of Amazon Prime Day with more packages expected to be delivered.
All too often we’ve seen just how brazen porch pirates can be. They know they’re often being recorded taking the package from a porch and they don’t seem to care.
Fairfield police officer Stacy Chiarolanza has suggestions on how to protect yourself, including having packages delivered to less visible locations, like a back door or inside a garage.
“It’s secure you get an email with a pin code and a QR code on it and that allows you to go right to a hub that you choose and your package is safe and secure there until you go in and get it with your QR code,” said Chiarolanza.
Amazon Prime Day is being held today and tomorrow.
