(03/27/06) ROXBURY ? Local authorities and federal investigators are trying to determine who detonated a homemade bomb in front of a Roxbury home early Sunday.
The blast, which neighbors say occurred at 1:45 a.m., ripped the front door off the house and frightened nearby homeowners. Neighbors can?t understand why the family in that particular home was targeted. According to residents, the family is friendly and never appeared to have problems with anyone. The family was not home at the time of the explosion.
The Morris County Prosecutor?s Office is being assisted in the investigation by the sheriff?s office, the Roxbury Police Department and the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
