Moderna and Johnson & Johnson booster shots are available to those who are eligible in Hoboken.
Those who are eligible can choose which booster they would like to receive through a partnership with the Hoboken Health Department and local providers. They will be available at pop-up clinics in the community rooms of senior buildings.
The CDC's recommendations now allow for mix and match dosing for booster shots, meaning a person can choose to have a different brand of booster shot than the brand of vaccine they received initially. But some say they feel better knowing they’re getting the same shot they received the first two times.

“The first two were Moderna, so I’d like to have the booster Moderna,” says Ada Bryant.
Those eligible who live in or could make it to Marion Towers on First Street on Monday were ready to get their booster shot.
“I didn’t want to mix them,” says Richard Weinstein. “I spoke with my own primary care doctor who said it would be better to get the booster, Moderna if you did the Moderna first.”
All this week, pop-up clinics in community rooms of senior buildings all over Hoboken will make the boosters available. No appointment is necessary, just bring your vaccination card and anyone else who wants to help.
“I’m here with my mother-in-law, the star of the show, just making sure there are no issues with the vaccinations,” says Angel Fernandez. “She got Moderna a few months ago. She got both shots and just down with her to make sure she gets the booster, very important.”
