Hoboken city officials have launched an initiative to focus on and promote pedestrian safety.
The Hoboken Police Department set up an email address for city residents to send complaints and other information to the police traffic bureau. The email can be used for traffic violations or pedestrian concerns. Residents will also be able to send videos of incidents they see to let police know if further action needs to take place.
Officials say that the email that was set up is part of an ongoing process that includes other initiatives for 2019 to improve pedestrian safety.
Police will also continue ongoing programs already in place, such as having decoy officers at crosswalks to remind drivers to stop for pedestrians.
More information can be found on the Hoboken city website.
