Hoboken officials are asking anyone who gathered indoors in multiple households over the holidays to get tested for the coronavirus.
"We don't want anybody to feel shamed or otherwise call people out, what we want to do is proactively make sure we are increasing our testing options and encourage people to follow up appropriately if they have gathered with other people indoors," says Emily Jabbour, councilperson-at-large.
She says the city is using lessons learned after more testing was needed following the Thanksgiving holiday.
Anyone who experiences symptoms of the coronavirus should get a test right away.
