Paramus police are investigating a hit-and-run crash on Route 17 near the Westfield Garden State Plaza.
Authorities say a 32-year-old female was hit by a fleeing vehicle on Monday, Oct. 19 at around 5 p.m.
The victim was taken to the Hackensack University Medical Center with serious, life-threatening injuries.
Route 17 South is currently closed at police continue to investigate. They are asking commuters to look for alternate routes and avoid the area until further notice.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit is on the scene to help with the investigation.
