Wednesday?s rainstorm left 165th Street in Highbridge submerged and residents are getting fed up.
Residents in the area say the flooding is a recurring problem and the city has done nothing about it. Many say they have gotten used to the high waters on 165th Street between River and Jerome avenues during storms.
The Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) says the area is not on its list of sites that flood. However, DEP officials promise to send someone to survey the streets. DEP officials add that residents should call them the next time the streets flood.
