The heavy rains have caused flooding in some areas and primed other parts for flooding in the Garden State Wednesday.
The water has started to build on the edge of the roadway on the bridge over Farrington Lake on the border of North Brunswick and East Brunswick. The Delaware River is also rising, which is usually a problem for residents in Trenton. Crews have already pumped water from the Statehouse underground garage.
Meanwhile, police had to close the Netcong Circle due to flooding. A detour has been set up for drivers who normally use Netcong Circle.
