HEAT ALERT: Excessive heat warning extended through Wednesday as temps rise

Tuesday could see temperatures rise to 100 degrees.

A third heat wave of the season is on its way for New Jersey as temperatures are set to reach above 90 on Tuesday. The National Weather Service has extended excessive heat warnings and advisories through Wednesday.

TUESDAY: Hazy, hot and humid. Spotty storms possibly by the evening. Highs expected to be around 100 degrees. The record is 101 set in 1988.

SATURDAY: Partly sunny. Highs around 86.
